We have worked throughout British Columbia and internationally, building and supplying camps in some of the most remote exploration and drilling locations.

Andrew Chapman
Managing Partner
Andrew’s story in the construction industry starts at the ground level, digging holes, stacking lumber, and cleaning jobsites as a laborer. Through curiosity and a constant desire to learn and explore he climbed the ranks as a carpenter, foreman, and project manager.
In 2025 Andrew joined Travis Duncan in the ownership of Butler Contracting Ltd. to lend his experience in construction and business management.
Andrew also runs The Chapman Building Company founded in 2006 in Victoria BC, specializing in building construction tailored to the climate of the Pacific Northwest.
Outside of work, Andrew can be found coaching his kids' sports teams and exploring the coastal waters and the mountains of BC and Alberta.

Travis Duncan

Travis started as a carpenter in 2013, establishing his career in high-end custom homes and specialized energy-efficient projects. Those years taught him that the details matter, not just for the building’s longevity, but for the comfort of the occupants.
Since moving into management, his focus has shifted toward improving how we deliver complex infrastructure and support our teams. Travis and Andrew Chapman recently acquired Butler Contracting because they saw an opportunity to bring a higher level of craftsmanship and employee-centric management to the mining sector. We don’t just build drill pads and camps, we build the foundations for a better, more respectful work environment in the field.
Beyond the job site, Travis's approach to leadership is shaped by a lifelong commitment to discipline and teamwork. He played rugby through his twenties and has spent twelve years training in martial arts at a competitive level, where he enjoyed the challenge of teaching others.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, he is proud to call the Bulkley Valley home and is dedicated to seeing our local industries and communities thrive.
